Open-plan interior remodel — Mansouri Design and Build

The interior it should have always been.

We redesign and rebuild the interior of your home — reconfiguring layouts, transforming kitchens and bathrooms, and designing every finish from the same coordinated brief.

Design and construction as one brief.

Interior remodelling only feels effortless when design and construction are managed as one. When the designer who specified the kitchen unit positions is also the team that installs them, nothing gets lost in translation.

We think about what a project will be worth when it is complete, not just what it will cost to build. Good design and careful specification can significantly change how a home feels and how it performs.

Priced against a drawing, not a guess.

Internal remodelling runs from a single room to a complete reconfiguration of the whole house. We survey the property, agree the design, then price it — in that order, so the quotation reflects what will actually be built.

Historic interiors deserve sensitive hands.

Renovating the interior of a period home is as much about what you keep as what you change. Original cornicing, timber floors, panelled doors, sash windows, exposed beams and stone flags are the details that give a historic home its character — and they are irreplaceable once lost.

We approach historic interiors with forensic care. Before any work begins, we survey and catalogue the original features present, establish which are structurally or aesthetically significant, and design our works around preserving them. Where repairs are needed, we use period-appropriate methods — lime plaster rather than dot-and-dab, oil-based primers on original joinery, and like-for-like timber species for any replacement work.

At the same time, historic buildings can and should be made to work for modern life. We introduce contemporary kitchens, bathrooms and underfloor heating in ways that are invisible within the character of the building — ensuring the result feels authentically historic and genuinely comfortable.
